1. Parties, purpose and acceptance

This Rental Agreement (the “Agreement”) is between Valdosta Tote Rentals, referred to as “Company,” “we,” “us” or “our,” and the person or organization identified on the reservation, invoice or signature section, referred to as “Customer,” “you” or “your.” The Agreement applies to all reusable moving totes, attached lids, dollies and any other accessories delivered or made available as part of the Customer’s reservation. These items are collectively called the “Rental Equipment.”

By signing this Agreement, accepting delivery, making payment, checking an electronic acceptance box or using the Rental Equipment, the Customer confirms that the Customer has read, understood and agreed to these terms. The individual accepting the Agreement represents that the information supplied for the reservation is accurate and that the individual is at least eighteen years old and legally able to enter into a contract. When the Customer is a business, organization or other entity, the person accepting the Agreement also represents that the person is authorized to act for that entity.

The purpose of the rental is to provide temporary reusable containers and dollies for packing and transporting ordinary household, dormitory, office or business belongings during a local move. Valdosta Tote Rentals remains the sole owner of all Rental Equipment at all times. The Customer receives only a temporary right to possess and properly use the Rental Equipment during the confirmed rental period.

2. Rental package and equipment count

The Customer’s package will be listed on the reservation confirmation. Standard packages currently include: 20 totes with 1 dolly for $99; 40 totes with 2 dollies for $169; or 60 totes with 3 dollies for $219. Each standard package includes a fourteen-day rental period and free delivery and pickup at one eligible address within twenty-five miles of ZIP code 31605, subject to availability, safe access and the confirmed reservation schedule.

The quantity delivered will be documented by Valdosta Tote Rentals. The Customer should count the totes, dollies and accessories at delivery and promptly report any discrepancy. Unless a discrepancy is reported at delivery or within the time stated on the delivery confirmation, the Customer will be considered to have received the listed quantity in usable condition. Attached lids are part of each tote and must remain with that tote. Dollies must be returned with all wheels and working parts present.

Package recommendations, including any result generated by Totey’s Move Meter, are estimates rather than guarantees. The number of totes needed varies according to home size, personal belongings, packing style, items that cannot be placed in totes and whether the Customer plans to move in stages. The Customer is responsible for choosing the package. Additional equipment is available only when inventory and scheduling allow, and any additional charges must be confirmed before delivery.

3. Rental period, start date and extensions

The standard rental period is fourteen consecutive calendar days. Unless the reservation confirmation states otherwise, the rental begins on the scheduled delivery date and ends on the scheduled pickup date. Delivery and pickup dates are part of the rental period; the Customer should plan packing, moving and unpacking accordingly. A delayed move, incomplete closing, change in housing availability or other personal scheduling problem does not automatically extend the rental.

An extension must be requested before the scheduled pickup date. An extension is not approved until Valdosta Tote Rentals confirms it in writing or through the booking system. Approval depends on inventory commitments to other Totey Movers. The Company may deny an extension when the equipment is reserved for another customer. Any extension charge will be disclosed and accepted before the additional rental time begins.

If the Customer keeps the Rental Equipment beyond the confirmed pickup date without an approved extension, the equipment is overdue. The Customer remains responsible for the equipment and may be charged the late or holdover amount shown in the final fee schedule or reservation terms. Overdue equipment may also affect scheduled rentals for other customers. The Customer agrees to communicate promptly if a delay occurs and to provide reasonable access for rescheduled pickup.

4. Delivery, access and pickup

Free standard delivery and pickup apply within twenty-five miles of ZIP code 31605 at the address confirmed by Valdosta Tote Rentals. Distance and eligibility are determined by the Company using its normal route or mapping method. Addresses outside the included radius, multiple delivery locations, multiple pickup locations, redelivery, unsuccessful delivery or special access requests may require an additional charge or may not be available.

The Customer must provide a complete and accurate street address, telephone number, delivery instructions and any gate, apartment, building or access information needed to complete service. An adult authorized by the Customer should be available during the confirmed delivery and pickup windows unless a written unattended-delivery arrangement has been approved. The delivery area must be safe, reasonably level, accessible and free of hazards, aggressive animals, blocked entrances and conditions that could injure people or damage property.

Valdosta Tote Rentals will make reasonable efforts to meet scheduled windows but cannot guarantee an exact arrival minute. Weather, traffic, vehicle problems, road closures, emergencies, unsafe conditions and delays at earlier stops may affect timing. When practical, the Company will communicate a material schedule change. The Customer agrees that reasonable timing changes do not create a right to consequential damages or reimbursement for movers, labor, lodging, missed work or other indirect costs.

For pickup, all totes must be completely empty, closed, reasonably clean, nested or stacked as instructed and placed with the dollies in the confirmed accessible location. The Customer should not leave personal belongings, labels containing sensitive information or trash inside the totes. If equipment is unavailable, inaccessible, still packed, scattered between locations or unsafe to collect, the pickup may be treated as unsuccessful and a return-trip charge may apply after that charge is disclosed.

5. Payment, authorization and additional charges

The Customer agrees to pay the package price and any approved additional charges shown on the reservation or invoice. Valdosta Tote Rentals may require full payment, a deposit or a valid payment method before confirming or delivering a reservation. Applicable taxes, if any, will be shown separately. A reservation request is not final until the Company confirms availability and the required payment or authorization has been completed.

The Customer authorizes Valdosta Tote Rentals to charge the payment method provided for agreed rental charges and, where legally permitted and properly disclosed, for approved extensions, overdue equipment, unsuccessful service trips, excessive cleaning, missing equipment or damage beyond ordinary wear. Before launch, the Company will publish or attach a final fee schedule stating any late fee, replacement value, cleaning charge, redelivery charge and other variable amount. Those amounts should not be left uncertain in the signed version of this Agreement.

If a payment is declined, reversed or disputed without a valid basis, the Customer remains responsible for the unpaid amount and any lawful collection costs permitted by the final Agreement and Georgia law. The Customer agrees to contact Valdosta Tote Rentals promptly to resolve billing questions. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights.

6. Customer responsibility and proper care

From delivery until completed pickup, the Customer is responsible for reasonable care, custody and control of the Rental Equipment. The totes and dollies should be stored in a secure location protected from theft, standing water, open flame, extreme heat, chemicals, vehicles, lawn equipment and other avoidable hazards. The Customer should close the lids when totes are not being packed or unpacked and should not leave equipment in a roadway, public right-of-way or place where it creates a trip or traffic hazard.

The Customer must use sensible packing practices. Heavy contents should be distributed so a tote can be safely lifted and so the tote, lid and dolly are not overloaded. The Customer should use suitable wrapping or cushioning for fragile possessions. Valdosta Tote Rentals does not pack, load, secure or transport the Customer’s belongings and does not know the condition, value or suitability of those belongings. Totes are weather-resistant but are not represented as watertight, waterproof, fireproof, temperature-controlled, burglar-proof or suitable for long-term storage.

Dollies should be used only on stable surfaces and within their intended purpose. Stacks must remain low enough to be controlled safely and should not block the user’s view. The Customer should use particular care on slopes, thresholds, ramps and uneven surfaces. Children should not play on, in or with totes or dollies. The Customer is responsible for supervising household members, helpers, movers and any other person who uses or handles the Rental Equipment.

7. Prohibited contents and uses

Rental Equipment may not be used to store or transport people, animals, live plants requiring ventilation, illegal property, stolen property, firearms or ammunition, explosives, fireworks, gasoline, propane cylinders, corrosive substances, pesticides, hazardous waste, biohazards, medical waste, wet paint, leaking liquids, open food likely to attract pests, or any material that may stain, contaminate, puncture, melt, burn or create an unreasonable safety risk. The equipment may not be altered, drilled, cut, painted, permanently marked or used as a step, seat, work platform or vehicle restraint.

The Customer may not sell, lend, subrent, pledge, abandon or transfer possession of the Rental Equipment to another person or location without written approval. The equipment may not be taken outside the agreed service arrangement in a way that prevents timely pickup. If the move involves a storage facility, moving company, apartment office, military installation or gated property, the Customer remains responsible for obtaining permission and ensuring Valdosta Tote Rentals can lawfully and safely retrieve the equipment.

Valdosta Tote Rentals may refuse delivery, stop service or request immediate return when the Company reasonably believes the Rental Equipment is being misused, the location is unsafe, payment information is invalid, the Customer supplied materially false information or continued possession creates a risk of loss or harm.

8. Missing, stolen or damaged equipment

The Customer must notify Valdosta Tote Rentals promptly if any tote, attached lid, dolly or accessory is lost, stolen, destroyed or materially damaged. Ordinary wear from proper moving use is expected. Ordinary wear does not include cracked or punctured tote bodies, missing or broken lids caused by misuse, melted plastic, chemical or paint contamination, excessive staining, unauthorized markings, bent dolly frames, missing wheels, damage from overloading or damage caused by vehicles, animals, fire, flooding or prohibited contents.

The Customer is responsible for the reasonable replacement or repair cost of equipment that is not returned or is returned damaged beyond ordinary wear, subject to the final fee schedule and applicable law. Replacement values should reflect the equipment supplied and should be disclosed before the Customer accepts the final agreement. Payment of a replacement charge does not give the Customer permission to intentionally retain equipment unless Valdosta Tote Rentals expressly agrees in writing.

If theft is suspected, the Customer should take reasonable steps to protect the remaining equipment and may be asked to provide available details or a police report. Reporting a theft does not automatically eliminate financial responsibility, but the Company may consider the circumstances in good faith. The Customer should not attempt a dangerous recovery of stolen equipment.

9. Cleaning and return condition

Normal household dust and light residue from an ordinary move are expected. Before pickup, the Customer should remove all contents, loose debris, tape, adhesive labels and personal information. Totes should be wiped when a spill occurs and must not contain food, insects, pet waste, strong odors, grease, chemicals, wet materials or any substance requiring specialized cleaning. The Customer should not use abrasive tools or harsh chemicals that may damage the plastic.

Valdosta Tote Rentals inspects and cleans equipment between rentals. A reasonable cleaning process is included in the service. An excessive-cleaning charge may apply when equipment is returned in a condition substantially beyond normal moving use, but only according to the disclosed fee schedule. Equipment contaminated by hazardous or prohibited substances may be treated as damaged or unreturnable, and the Customer may be responsible for lawful remediation, disposal or replacement costs.

The Customer should retain the pickup confirmation or final receipt. A rental is considered closed only after Valdosta Tote Rentals has recovered and counted the equipment and resolved any documented discrepancy. The Customer should report a count concern promptly after receiving the final communication.

10. Belongings, injury, property damage and limitation of liability

The Customer remains solely responsible for selecting, packing, protecting, labeling, lifting, loading, transporting, unloading and unpacking all belongings. Valdosta Tote Rentals does not insure the Customer’s property and is not a mover, warehouse operator or bailee of the contents. The Customer should maintain appropriate renters, homeowners, business, automobile, moving or other insurance and should not place irreplaceable valuables, cash, jewelry, important documents, medication or fragile heirlooms in unattended equipment.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Valdosta Tote Rentals is not responsible for loss of or damage to contents caused by packing choices, shifting loads, impacts, moisture, temperature, pests, theft, vehicle accidents, third-party movers, unattended storage or use inconsistent with this Agreement. The Customer accepts the ordinary risks associated with lifting and moving loaded containers and using dollies.

The final legally reviewed agreement may include a reasonable limitation of liability and indemnity clause consistent with Georgia law. Any such clause should be conspicuous, specific and not attempt to waive responsibility that cannot legally be waived. Nothing in this website template is intended to exclude liability for conduct that the law does not permit a business to disclaim.

11. Reservation changes, cancellation and service interruptions

The Customer should request date, address or package changes as early as possible. Changes are subject to inventory, route capacity and service-area eligibility. A requested change is not effective until confirmed. Valdosta Tote Rentals may adopt a cancellation and refund policy based on how much notice is provided before delivery. That policy, including any nonrefundable amount, should appear at checkout and on the reservation confirmation before the Customer pays.

The Company may reschedule or cancel service when equipment becomes unavailable because of a prior customer’s late return, severe weather, unsafe access, vehicle failure, illness, emergency or another circumstance beyond reasonable control. If the Company cannot provide the confirmed package within a reasonable alternative window, the Customer’s remedy will generally be a refund of amounts paid for undelivered service. The Company is not responsible for indirect expenses such as mover charges, lease penalties, hotel stays or lost wages.

12. Communications, privacy, governing law and general terms

The Customer consents to service-related communications by telephone, text message and email using the contact information supplied. These communications may include reservation confirmation, arrival updates, pickup reminders, payment notices and safety information. Marketing messages should be handled through a separate consent process where required. Customer information will be used to operate the rental, process payment, provide support and meet legal obligations, subject to the Company’s privacy policy.

The final Agreement will be governed by applicable Georgia law. Any venue, dispute-resolution, arbitration or small-claims provision should be reviewed by a Georgia-licensed attorney before use and clearly presented to the Customer. If one provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions should continue to apply to the extent lawful. A waiver on one occasion does not waive the same term on a later occasion.

The signed Agreement, confirmed reservation, incorporated fee schedule and any written change accepted by both parties form the entire rental agreement. Headings are provided for convenience. Electronic records and signatures may be used to the extent permitted by law. The Customer should save or print a copy for personal records.
